No platform partnerships nor preferred-vendor commissions. Supplier recommendations and a proposed engagement model is advised based on the client’s fit and needs – not which is most lucrative for the practice.

Senior throughout

Engagements are delivered by the principal and selected senior practitioners with a history of success and matched expertise to the client’s needs. There is no junior team, no offshore delivery centre, no leverage model. The practitioner who is engaged is the practitioner the client works with for its duration.

This is layered onto the practical know how of the start up and scale up of digital businesses, assessing the use case for digital development, its application in client engagement and organisational structure.

Across regulated and unregulated UK organisations — including ~10 years as Chief Operating Officer, plus Managing Director experience that has led the strategic thinking necessary on an AI build up aligning with a long term business vision, across C Suite functions. A business thinker as well as digital and AI expertise necessary for success.

During the last year of qualifying as an Ai Auditor and Professional, the responsible and ethical use of systems, policy and philosophy behind AI, turned into a fascination for Lara as well as drive to apply her business experience practically to help organisations grappling with questions of the utility of AI and know how. The need for a business nimble to respond to fast growth in AI which is tailored to leaders in their organisations and management, seemed to create value so Nimble Shift was established.

Most clients begin with a 45-minute conversation. Some go on to commission an AI Fluency and Readiness Audit as a defined-scope entry point. Others move directly into a Digital and AI Advisory Retainer when an existing roadmap needs continuous senior support, or into a Fractional CDO arrangement where multi-year transformation requires embedded leadership.

Pricing is shared in a brief PDF after the initial conversation, calibrated to the scope agreed. Engagements are scoped against a fee letter before commencement: no hidden charges, no commission on third-party tooling, no surprises at invoice time.

The practice is UK-based. Cross-border engagements are considered case-by-case where the regulatory frameworks and operating-model considerations meaningfully overlap.
